The Brief

We were approached by the Curro Education Group to tackle a process that required a skilled user with a timespan of two hours per student to complete. The project would have been deemed a success if we were able to reduce the time at all, with first prize being achieving half the time to complete the process in question.

The process required to complete daily report cards (as well as a few other recordings) for
children by their teachers who were already using tablets in class to record the data.

How we helped

Through a well-designed backend and collection of applications we were able to reduce the process to 5-10 minutes per student.

Design

Creating a user interface which:
(a) reduced the level of skilled input require;
(b) was able to be completed with one finger and very minimal input;
Allowing for multiple entries at once
Smart automation

Development

Notification feature for the parent app, which is triggered when children are ready for collection
The ability for customized activities to be created and stored by teachers
Data record specifically for guardian and parent
